James Hillier Public School’s 75th Anniversary – May 2025

The 75^th anniversary of James Hillier Public School was celebrated with an Open House on May 10, 2025. The James Hillier Foundation was pleased to support this celebration by providing prizes for all participants of the Family Science Fair and assisting with the creation of a permanent display recognizing Dr. Hillier in the school’s library. Memorabilia and informational displays from the James Hillier Archives were on display at the school for the event, which was attended by more than 500 current and former students, teachers, principals, city and school board officials. Several Directors of the James Hillier foundation were also in attendance. Nolan Cross, a former student at James Hillier Public School and a James Hillier Scholarship recipient, spoke to the school’s current students at an assembly for the anniversary.
